| All of the glass jewels and the majority of
the beads are exclusively designed and fabricated in my studio.
While your individual piece may vary slightly from the works on display, the integrity and essential form of each piece remains constant. My jewels are produced by stacking small layers of glass and fusing them together in a kiln at 1600 degrees fahrenheit. The glass beads are “lampworked” using a torch. Custom beads fashioned out of dichroic glass add a mysterious prismatic effect to my jewelry. The special properties of this glass are the result of thin molecular films of rare earth metals which are deposited onto clear float glass. Depending on where the light enters the glass, it will cause the glass to reflect one color and transmit another. Consequently, when you wear your jewelry, it reflects and transmits many different vibrant colors. The online jewelry store is temporarily closed. |
